Jockey Tommy Berry will return from his sick brother’s bedside in Singapore to ride in Saturday’s George Ryder Stakes meeting at Rosehill.
Berry has been with twin brother Nathan in a Singapore hospital, since he collapsed during trackwork last week.
Nathan was subsequently placed in an induced coma, after being diagnosed with NORSE syndrome, a condition related to eplilepsy.
Berry is determined to boot home a winner for his ill brother, telling News Corp “Nothing will change with Nathan’s condition if I come home.
“I feel I can do more for Nathan back home by trying to ride a winner for him. That’s what he would want.
“The only time I won’t be thinking about him is when the gates open until the winning post,’’ said Berry.
Berry has a full book of rides for Sydney trainer Gai Waterhouse.
