Carlton House Draws Well In Queen Elizabeth

Posted on April 15th, 2014 by Red Belly Sports

Carlton House remains favourite for Saturday’s $4 million Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) at Royal Randwick, after drawing barrier five for the showpiece event of The Championships.

The Gai Waterhouse trained galloper is a $4 chance on Betfair, for Australia’s richest weight-for-age race.

Second favourite Silent Achiever ($4.60 Betfair) will jump from gate seven, while third elect Its A Dundeel ($5.30) drew the rails.

The draw wasn’t kind to premier Sydney trainer Chris Waller, with four of his five runners drawing the outside barriers in the 12 horse field.

The exception was Doncaster Mile fourth placegetter Hawkspur ($12), who will jump from barrier four.
