Posted on May 8th, 2014 by Red Belly Sports

Leading trainer Rob Heathcote believes Buffering is perfectly placed to win his first Group 1 on Queensland soil, in Saturday’s $400,000 BTC Cup (1200m) at Doomben.

Buffering will jump from barrier three in the weight-for-age sprint, and remains a $2.20 favourite.

In addition to Buffering, the BTC Cup has attracted a small but strong field, with Group 1 winners Snitzerland, Spirit Of Boom, Temple Of Boom and Tiger Tees in the 8 horse field.

Tony Gollan’s Spirit Of Boom is the second favourite at $5.50.
